Double Shot POAC x Leos Miss Magic POAC 51" sorrel, blanket to shoulders with spots, star and strip, feather markings, all Appaloosa characteristics
Mr. Ray Pietz of Iowa bred quality performance POAs with good dispositions for over 30 years (5th on the USA national list of leading breeders – researched by Kent Rorick of Minnesota). Mega Bucks or Buddy is an exceptional example of Ray's breeding program. Mega Bucks is a very classy fellow – strikingly handsome with all the charm and good manners of a gentleman and he floats over the ground as he moves. He has performance ability, versatility, excellent disposition, and horse movement in a good looking smaller package. Buddy demonstrated his trainability when he was started under saddle as an 8 year old and took to it like a 2 year old. Many of his get have performed successfully in Western, English, trail, reining, hunter, driving, and gymkhana/games events at many shows including Regional, International, and the Eastern Classic. (See shown offspring) A number of his daughters have been retained as broodmares due to their way of moving and their dispositions. His sire, Double Shot, was bred by Roricks of Minnesota and his dam, Leos Miss Magic, has produced a number of performance POAs such as Driftwoods Magic Monte, Driftwoods Magic Ms, Santee Mr. Magic, Santee Magician and Santee Wizard. (See below for some of their accomplishments.) We are very proud to own this 51" POA stallion named Driftwoods Mega Bucks (aka Buddy) and feel that Mega Bucks exemplifies the POA breed: P - Performance ability |
