![]() Pistol's sire, Dual Plaudit owned by Bob Warns of PA Plaudits Crusader POAC x His Fancy Feather ApHC |
Dual Plaudit, Pistol's sire, won the weanling colt class at the International Show in 1984 and went on to sire a number of International grand and reserve champions such as Smokin Dually, Duallys Curious George, Dual's Sensation, A Mighty Fancy Dually and Quicksilver Deuce. Dual Plaudit was sired by Plaudit's Crusader owned by Wanda Victor from Iowa and out of His Fancy Feather, Ruth Pecoy's great mare. Plaudit's Crusader (sired by Kid Plaudit, a double grandson of Prince Plaudit) has sired a number of performance POAs through the years, (his foals have won 41 International Show classes - 21 were performance - researched by Kent Rorick of Minnesota) some of which are Plaudit's Rocky Socks, Plaudit's Casper, Plaudit's Cavalier and Bobby Sox Plaudit - great performance records and very versatile. His Fancy Feather was sired by Prince's St. Simon, a son of Prince Plaudit and was out of Leos's La Paloma by Prince's Leo that was also a son of Prince Plaudit. Five of His Fancy Feather's Foals have been International Show Champions (breeder, Ruth Pecoy): Dual Plaudit (winner of weanling colt class at the International in 1984), Prison Blues (first place weanling colt in Midwest POA Futurity, first place in Iowa Futurity, and grand champion 3 year old gelding in 1990 at the International, 1996 Medallion Winner in English Pleasure, English Equitation, and Stockseat Equitation), Chrome Plaudit (winner of yearling gelding class at the International Show in 1990 and Junior Champion), His Fancy Carbine (winner of yearling colt class, Junior Champion Stallion, and reserve grand champion stallion in 1997 at the International Show), and His Signal Fire (two times grand champion gelding and high selling gelding at the 1999 sale - broke the high selling gelding record with a price of $9000). His Signal Fire is now being shown in performance classes and halter and doing very well - Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Reining, Western Riding, Showmanship, Stock Seat Equitation and Games. Pistol's mother, Pretty Tuff, was sired by Tuffer Plaudit (goes back to Prince Plaudit) and out of Snowcap's Tatoo. (Tuffer Plaudit also sired The Pharmacist, the high selling gelding at the 1996 International Sale - $7000). Doc Nemmers from Wisconsin, who has produced a number of POA champions as well, used Snowcap's Tatoo in his breeding program - dam of Docs Toughest Yet (International Champion) and Docs Pretty Dude (World and International Halter Champion) and Docs Pretty Please. Pistol's full sister, Pretty Tuff Dually, was the 1998 Medallion Winner in halter. She was also third in the JPFC Reining at the 2000 International Sale and Futurity in Des Moines, Iowa. Pistol's first foal was the winner of the 1999 George Bishop Futurity in Utah. Pistol, therefore, has a great number of champions in his background and goes back to Prince Plaudit 5 times. Prince Plaudit, Appaloosa Hall of Fame stallion was bred by Hank Wiescamp and syndicated for $300 000. He sired 637 registered foals and many, many of them proved themselves as both halter and performance horses in show competition - over 40 National and World Champions, 19 bronze medallions, three silver medallions and one gold medallion. Forty-five of his get also produced medallion winners. He was a two time national Get-of-Sire Champion. In 1976, he became the first stallion to be awarded a bronze production plaque - an all time leading sire of the Appaloosa breed. To top it off, Pistol is a black few spot with a wonderful disposition. He is just so cute and lovable!! This Pistol is loaded!. |
