Hifive POAs is a family owned operation located in Manitoba 120 miles northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Traditionally, our farm had produced cattle and grain.  This changed when our youngest son wanted a goat. Yes, a goat! Thinking that a pony would be more enjoyable and less trouble, we started our search for the "right" pony.  This was not an easy task and we came to the realization that there was a need for good youth horses. After countless hours of research and inquiries, we learned about the Ponies of the Americas - Appaloosa colored ponies that have the dispositions and movement of a horse and mature between 46 and 56 inches at the withers.

When we saw the POA stallion, Driftwoods Mega Bucks, at the home of Ray Pietz in Iowa, we were hooked. We fell in love with him!  He is such a gentleman!  Mega Bucks is also a proven producer of: International, Regional, JPFC Hi Point and Eastern Classic class winners and a Supreme Champion gelding.  He has produced a number of good daughters that we are now using in our breeding program.

Mega Bucks is now 22 years old and still looking good, but he has been retired from breeding.

Our second stallion is Pistol Packin Dually, a truly lovable rare black few spot with many POA champions in his background.  He puts the most gorgeous heads on his offspring!  Sire of:  World Champion Medium Mare, Winner of the 19 & Over JPFC Trail Class, and Western Classic Reserve JPFC Hi Point 3&4 Year Old, 2009 Midwest Regional Grand Champion Gelding, 2009 Eastern Classic winner of JPFC 3/4 year old Trail, 2009 Reserve Hi Point 19 and Over at the Eastern Classic.

Pistol has been sold to Virginia and we miss him.  He was such a lovable little guy, but we do have some of his offspring to remind us of him and the beautiful heads that he produced on his foals.

Hifive Pistols Prince, our stallion, was bred and raised at Hifive POAs.  Pistols Prince is a beautiful dun with a black mane and tail sired by Pistol Packin Dually and out of Exclusive Doll by Mr. Exclusive, a son of Bright Eyes Brother.  Exclusive Doll was bred on the renowned Sheldak Ranch of North Dakota.

A Passing Investment, our 14.2 hh AQHA stallion, is sired by Good Commodity by Good Asset and out of A Passing Story by Passing It Along (a full brother to Barpassers Image).  A Passing Investment was trained by Scott MacKenzie of MacKenzie Quarter Horses as a two year old and proved to be good natured and, as his bloodlines indicate, has the right movement for western pleasure.

Our goal in our breeding program continues to be to raise good looking POAs with quiet dispositions and versatile performance ability. Our horses now carry the bloodlines of:
